Tanovani – it is a symbol of who we, the Georgian people, are. The name, once spoken to honor warriors and noble knights, lives on through every vineyard row we care for and every bottle we share. Our vines have survived centuries of history, and today they stand strong in the Kartli region — growing deep roots, nurturing heritage, and carrying forward Georgia’s winemaking soul.
Goruli Mtsvane
Goruli Mtsvane is a rare and treasured white grape of Kartli. From old vines, it delivers lively aromas of fresh green apple, zesty citrus, and spring herbs, with subtle floral notes. The palate is fresh, bright, and balanced by crisp acidity that gives it elegance and lift. This wine pairs beautifully with river fish, seafood, garden salads, and the lighter side of traditional Georgian cuisine.
Shavkapito
Shavkapito is one of the oldest native red grapes of Kartli — a variety once reserved for noble feasts and family gatherings. Our Shavkapito comes from 50-year-old vines, giving the wine a deep ruby color and layered notes of ripe cherry, wild raspberry, black plum, and a touch of peppery spice. The structure is smooth yet lively, with soft tannins and a lingering finish. It matches well with grilled meats, slow-cooked stews, mature cheeses, or a warm Georgian supra table.
Behind every vine and bottle is Davit Tamarashvili, one of Georgia’s most awarded winemakers. With experience across the country’s key wine regions and honors from Decanter, IWSC, and Sommeliers’ Choice, Davit brings deep knowledge and innovation to Tanovani. As founder of the Vine & Wine Group, he’s helped shape modern Georgian winemaking, turning each bottle into a refined expression of Kartli’s terroir and Georgia’s enduring spirit.
